BJRC Recruiting

Ninety minutes,
no pitch deck

You will leave the call knowing whether the person you are describing exists in this market, at that price, in that city. That is worth something even if you never hire us.

What the call is

Three questions, and one of them is uncomfortable

01 What does this person actually do Not the job description. The first ninety days, the three things that have to be true by month six, and who they have to win over internally.
02 What happened to the last one This is the uncomfortable one and it is the most useful. A seat that has turned over twice is a different search from a new seat.
03 Who says yes to the offer Most searches do not stall on candidates. They stall because the person who signs off was never in the room. We find that out on day one.
What you get back

Inside two weeks, whether or not you sign

A read on your market: what the seat pays today, how many people fit the profile within commuting distance, and where the search is likely to break.

A salary read
What that title actually costs right now, from mandates we ran, not from a national average.
A pool size
How many people genuinely fit, before anyone is contacted. This is the number that decides whether the search is 42 days or 90.
The risk
The one thing about the role that will make good candidates say no, told to you plainly rather than discovered in week five.
The commercials

Fees and the guarantee

[%]of first-year base, permanent search
[N]month guarantee
[$]retainer, executive mandates
[N]days, exclusivity requested

[State the fee plainly, or state exactly what it depends on. Every competitor hides this behind a call, which is precisely why saying it here wins the ones who are comparing.]
