Our Client

Our client is a respected investment and wealth management firm serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. They are seeking an experienced Financial Planner to provide comprehensive planning expertise and collaborate with an established advisory team to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end financial planning process for clients, including retirement, cash flow, tax, estate, succession, and insurance planning.

  • Develop comprehensive financial plans, projections, and recommendations for client presentations.

  • Support business development by preparing planning materials and participating in prospective client meetings.

  • Present planning strategies to clients and collaborate with their professional advisors.

  • Identify tax planning opportunities and monitor client portfolios for ongoing tax efficiency.

  • Act as a technical resource for advisors on tax, estate, and financial planning matters.

  • Coordinate with external legal, accounting, and insurance professionals to deliver integrated planning solutions.

  • Assist with complex planning initiatives, including estate freezes, family trusts, and succession planning.

  • Develop and enhance financial planning templates, tools, and internal processes.

  • Collaborate closely with advisory teams to integrate financial planning into the overall client experience.

Qualifications

  • 6–8+ years of experience in financial planning, tax, estate planning, or a related field.

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required.

  • Strong knowledge of Canadian tax, estate planning, retirement planning, and insurance strategies.

  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients is preferred.

  • Background in a law firm, accounting firm, or wealth management environment is considered an asset.

  • Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation is an asset.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
