The firm’s Financial Services group is seeking an Associate Lawyer to join its highly regarded Securitization practice and contribute to a sophisticated transactional practice serving major financial institutions, investment funds, lenders, and corporate clients.
Responsibilities
- Advise financial institutions, investment funds, lenders, and corporate clients on a broad range of securitization matters
- Support sophisticated securitization transactions, including domestic and cross-border matters
- Assist with secured lending and capital markets transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents and related financing documentation
- Work directly with partners and clients on complex financial services matters
- Provide practical, business-focused legal advice
- Build client relationships and develop expertise in a specialized practice area
Qualifications
- 1 to 4 years of post-call experience
- Member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario
- Strong interest in developing a practice focused on securitization
- Experience in securitization required; experience in secured lending, banking and finance, capital markets, or derivatives is an asset
- Experience handling sophisticated transactional matters in a law firm environment
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage files with increasing autonomy
- Strong client service orientation and collaborative mindset
